DLA Piper Rudnick completed a major merger in the last year which gave them a full service capability in all major legal markets in the world. While not the first transatlantic merger it was a three-way merger that provided an extensive US coverage with DLA’s Asian and European practice. The mammoth merger created the third largest law firm in the world and propelled the Firm forward in its vision of becoming a top five global firm. A truly mould breaking move.
RUNNER UP
Accenture occupies a well deserved second place as mould breaking firm for an initiative associated with its support of London’s bid to host the Olympics in 2012. Accenture sponsored a photographic exhibition titled "High Performance : Olympic Dreams".
They worked with the national sports charity, Sports Aid, and commissioned photographs of young people seeking to excel in their chosen sport. The exhibition toured Leeds, Manchester, Aberdeen, Newcastle and London and was an outstanding success.
3RD PLACE
Bentley Jennison’s adoption of technology as a major contributor to its service offering combine a mixture of innovation, commercial success, leadership, performance improvement and teamwork, all key aspects of a mould breaking firm. The Firm, currently the fastest growing accountancy firm in the UK Top 20, acquired two technology businesses and created Bentley Jennison Business Solutions.
This business provides a wide range of technology based services and software products. The Firm also launched Bentley Jennison Online Services, focused on providing advice to start ups and SME’s. Both businesses have been very successful placing Bentley Jennison clearly in mould breaking position.
