Linklaters - Winners 2008 Linklaters - Winners 2008

This is a truly innovative initiative that far exceeds the modest ambitions of most career development programmes.

Linklaters has taken a root and branch approach to the creation of a leading-edge employment experience for all their associates globally. The teamwork and effort involved in its creation and roll-out are admirable. The presentation met all the required criteria and on the basis of its innovation, creativity and positive impact on the business, this was a clear winner in the HR category

JOINT 2ND PLACE

Allen & Overy - Joint 2nd place 2008

An imaginative and creative initiative focused on solving the tricky issues facing working parents. Parents@Allen & Overy uses social networking technology to bring together large groups of people on a virtual basis. The content is self generated and the costs involved in its establishment are negligible; and yet the benefits to the user appear significant if usage is an indicator. An excellent example of a strategic approach to employee engagement by harnessing modern technology

Harper Macleod - Joint 2nd place 2008

This Firm has developed a range of imaginative People programmes focusing on Healthy Working Lives. Using employee volunteers and harnessing the firm’s internal communications department, Harper Macleod has been successful in establishing a number of Healthy Working programmes from Mental Awareness to Smoking Cessation. Unusually for programmes of this sort, Harper Macleod have succeeded in putting these initiatives in their proper strategic context rather than approaching them as ‘one-offs’

3RD PLACE

DLA - 3rd place 2008

DLA’s HR Centre is a powerful management and employee tool that acts as a centralized portal for all HR processes. Although far from unique, what was really impressive about DLA’s initiative was its very user-friendly and imaginative promotion and roll-out which has ensured widespread usage of the system.
