The winner is Harper Macleod who have developed their HR programme and internal employer branding ‘HM Choice’ with a strong emphasis on communication and employee engagement. This firm impressed the judges with their holistic approach and healthy activities. The firm has invested in its people and not only continued to recruit trainees but also retained their newly qualifieds despite the current economic situation. They have achieved retention mainly by reallocating staff to areas of greatest need economically. Considering the size of this firm the partners’ investment in their people is admirable.
