Share your unsung leadership and management expertise with clients

Professional firms enjoy close working relationships with organisations in every sector of the economy. The vast majority of those clients are also in the services sector.

Read an article on why productivity is almost everything.

The Forum's Productivity Partnership Pledge enables firm leaders to commit publicly to sharing their unsung leadership and management expertise with their clients to help those clients increase their employee engagement, productivity and resilience, thereby boosting UK productivity.

Actions for leaders and managers

Plan: Develop a plan to promote your firm’s leadership & management expertise to clients.

Strategy: Emphasise the increased commercial value and sustainability of ‘diamond’ compared with ‘bow-tie’ client relationships. Discourage your firm from promoting itself as a collection of sole traders rather than as a well-managed business.

Publicity: Use the free logo (opposite) on your communications with clients.

Evidence: Enter the MPF Awards for Management Excellence for an independent assessment of your contribution and to provide collateral for client pitches.

Community: Join a Group hub and/or appoint a Government Liaison Officer (GLO) to share ideas with clients online and at local meetings of the GLO Club.
