Chair: Jeremy Sweetland joined Guildhall Chambers as their CEO in early 2012. Jeremy trained with Eversheds and on qualification moved to Berwin Leighton Paisner and spent nearly 4 years in their corporate finance department working on M&A transactions and a mix of private equity and public listings. On leaving legal private practice he spent several years in broader management roles including setting up the operations of a new think tank and for five years acting as the CEO of a national skills training organisation. Jeremy has relished moving to the SW having relocated to Bath from London with his family in 2010 - in part due to the sudden expansion of the family from three to five with the arrival of twins.

Director: Louise Fleming is a Partner at Aretai Consulting Limited and has 20 years business management experience working in and with professional and financial services firms. Louise has a track record in leadership and management and her consulting work draws on her experience in business strategy and change by aligning client relationship; performance; financial; and risk management. Before joining Aretai Consulting, Louise co-founded consultancy Kingsmead Square. She previously worked for Barclays where she held a number of key leadership positions including sector head for professional services, South West regional head, Global COO for internal audit and UK risk partner. Louise was awarded Barclays Woman of the Year in 2007. Louise is a chartered accountant and started her career at Andersen before joining Deloitte. She worked as a risk consultant for financial services firms and also spent two years consulting to the FSA. Louise’s international experience includes a secondment to Australasia where she managed the financial services sector business development programme.

John Banister joined Wiggin in 2003 as Chief Operating Officer responsible for driving the Firm's strategic impetus towards becoming the media law firm of choice. John is MBA trained and has charted a career through some of the heavy weights of investment banking, accounting and the legal professions including Merrill Lynch, KPMG and Linklaters. As a non-lawyer, management specialist John enjoys the opportunity to view the Firm from the outside in.

Kate Blackburn lives in Somerset and has over 20 years’ experience of developing and managing people and change within both law firms and barristers’ chambers and as a self-employed consultant and business coach within Sherwood PSF Consulting. Kate’s career ranges from the Armed Forces (post-University), Freshfields as International Project Manager, and then CEO of a large, multi-disciplinary barristers’ chambers in Bristol. Current coaching work focuses on career and practice development for senior individuals, specialising in helping those applying for silk and judicial appointments, as well as wider talent management initiatives. Her MBA is in Legal Practice (Nottingham Law School); she is a qualified NVQ Assessor, an MBTI Assessor and a Meyler Campbell qualified business coach. When not working, she loves being outside in her garden, tiring out her boisterous Labrador, entertaining, skiing and yoga.

Simon Chadwick, Chadwick Nott

Mike Fieldhouse is Managing Director of realityhouse – a brand, marketing and digital agency focused on the professional services sector. His professional experience comes from a brief spell as a solicitor while his marketing career started as a copywriter creating campaigns for Apple, Hewlett Packard and BT. realityhouse was launched in 2003 and initially worked with a range of major brands including Mitsubishi, Herman Miller, apetito and Carillion. In 2010, the company specialised in Professional Services and now works with a wide range of clients such as Haines Watts, Withy King and Coffin Mew.
